Who We Are
Jade Abrams
Board Chair/President
Jade Abrams is the Vice President of Fitness Martial Arts and is serving as the Chair of FMA Impact Foundation. She is an experienced Administrative Manager with extensive experience in the childcare sector. She lives in Maryland with her husband and son. Jade enjoys working with local community schools to foster relationships with staff, parents and students.
Demonstrates exceptional customer service, strong organizational leadership, and proven management capabilities. Skilled in team supervision, operational efficiency, and fostering supportive environments for staff, children, and families.
Dr. Jamon E. Liburd
Vice Chair
Dr. Jamon E. Liburd is entering his fourth year as Assistant Principal at Bladensburg Elementary School. A native of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, he has devoted over 20 years to education, serving in various capacities, including paraprofessional, substitute teacher, elementary teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to creating safe, supportive, and rigorous learning environments for all students.
Before joining Prince George’s County Public Schools, Dr. Liburd served as a Reading Specialist in Florida. Over the past decade with PGCPS, he has worked as a RELA instructor, STEM educator, and school leader. With a strong background in elementary education, school leadership, extended learning, and STEM, he is dedicated to equity, student growth, teacher development, and meaningful community partnerships.
Most recently, Dr. Liburd earned his doctorate from National University, where his dissertation focused on supporting English Learners with reading disabilities.
Tiona Faucette
Secretary
Tiona Faucette serves as a secretary of the FMA Impact Foundation, bringing a passion for community growth and partnerships to the team. A proud mom of 3 girls, she has spent many years actively assisting in the Washington DC communities where she resides to be a role model for her children, and she now has the opportunity to branch off to make her mark in Maryland as well, Thanks to FMA.
Since joining FMA in September of 2025, not only has she seen growth in herself but has seen firsthand the tremendous growth of the business and its partnerships and is thrilled to be of assistance to help drive its future success. Known affectionately as the team's "Art Lady" due to being FMA's face painter for events, she infuses creativity into everything she does, proving that impactful work is always better with a splash of color.
Sonja Silcott
Treasurer
Has 10+ years experience working in Prince George’s County Schools as a Health Educator. Was the 2023 recipient of the Simon McNeely Shape America Award. Sonja has multiple qualifications and has also worked as a Patient Logistics Coordinator.
Raymond Abrams
At-Large Member
Raymond Abrams is the At-Large Member of the FMA Impact Foundation. He has successfully operated Fitness Martial Arts for over twelve years, where he serves as the President. Ray has been teaching martial arts to children and adults for over thirty years in Maryland. He enjoys participating in community events and partnering with local schools and vendors to support the community.
